It sucks big time that this happened to JP. Not that he would have seen any sort of significant minutes on the court this year, but still. Being off the court for a year is a huge deal in regards to adjusting to the speed of the NBA game. Embiid seemed to have hit the ground running after his return - we'll see on Simmons. There is a bright side - he got his money, he could possibly add some weight to his upper body while rehabbing. But being off the court for so long, especially for an already known project like Justin - it just has me worried for his debut in 2018.

A baby toe takes a Year to heal? Nah. Patton will likely suit up by January...whether at d-league or Mpls.

The bone proximal to the 5th toe fractured.

Has to heal properly to allow pushing off for lateral movement without pain. A plate may have been placed for perfect alignment - that might be removed once the bone heals. Therefore, 2 surgeries.

A big deal that has to be treated very carefully - zero reason to push things and develop into a chronic, painful condition.

IMHO.

Well he is going to be #24 and when those NBA trainers get ahold of you they can re-make you from head to toe in a hurry. Frankly, I 'm surprised he isn't bigger.

Hope he gets to play some this year even if it's D-league. Want him to get a chance to develop with the pros
