CasualHoya reporting it, but nothing else officially confirms yet. If so, I wonder how Big John will take it?

several years overdue. Shocked it took this long, honestly. The brass must really still bow down to JTII.

Hoya sites are saying Tommy Amaker is a leading candidate.

A real crossroads for Gtown. I'm not sure how this is good or bad for us and/or the conference.

Great for the conference. Georgetown being good is like Texas being good for Big XII football. Can only help.

I think this new hire will help gauge the league in terms of national status. Their history and tradition combined with how the conference has been doing would seem like a big job to take. And I would think G'town can do better than Dan Hurley, but who knows. I know Maquette got Wojo a few years ago, St. John's made their 'splash' with Mullin (jury is still out on that one), and Butler stayed in house (and rightfully so) but we haven't really had another shake-up of this magnitude nor prestige I would say. That combined with only Buzz really jumping ship the conference has done well with coaches. We will see if Mack and Holtman are mentioned elsewhere and/or actually would leave later this year.
