Coach Mac and Raz have brought this team and program a long ways since Mac was hired. Who would have thought back when Altman left that Creighton basketball would be where it is today. It's been an amazing upswing both with the team and the 17,000 fans who show their support.

Creighton has taken lumps, but Jays like their current trajectory

I'm quoting myself, but in today's mock draft Givony has Thomas going 28th to the Celtics.

Do we have cause for concern with our RPI? We are at #58 right now. I don't know how these things are computed because we are a few spots ahead of Gonzaga.

I don't believe so yet because I feel like UCLA, Yale, and Gonzaga will only get higher throughout the year. So many moving parts yet this early.

MVC Creighton - yes. if we weren't in the low 30s or better at end of Non-Con, one loss to the wrong team during conference season and we'd be in must win Arch Madness territory. Big East Creighton - not at all. If we win out non-conference and win half our games in the Big East, we will be in the 30s or low 40s RPI by end of the year and probably on the good side of the bubble. Win more than half our games in the Big East and we are even better than that.

I'll disagree some here...

If we win out the rest of Non-con we would be 10-2. If we win half our games in BE play we would be 9-9 or 19-11.

I posted a couple weeks ago that the last 3 NCAA tournaments have only included 3 teams each year that had only 19 wins. Everybody else had 20 or more. IMO, that would be on the wrong side of the bubble. 20-10 however, would be on the right side of the bubble... but still the bubble. So we'd have to go 10-8 in BE... which is't out of the question at all. But at 9-9... I would be pretty concerned. AT 19-11, we'd have to finish really strong at the BET

khyri would be the third player in four years to go from under the radar status to first round pick while at creighton. that would be awesome if someone takes him late in the first.

I wouldn't put too much weight into rpi until end of December.
