I am sure you meant to add "and if every other team also replaced their 3 or 4 cupcakes with at least Missouri Valley quality teams."

#3 Assists per game at 20.1
#5 Points per game at 89.9
#5 FG% at 51.5%
#8 Scoring margin at 17.9 per game
#10 3 Pt FG defensive % at 29.5%..............This is a shock
Go Jays, keep it up.

I wonder what these stats look like if we replaced the 4 cupcake games (SIU, Alcon, USC, MDES) with at least Missouri Valley quality teams.

As Wizard of Westroads said earlier, CU is leading the conference in conference games only at 26.7% or .267 so the tougher the competition, the better the 3 pt defense has been.

The SOS numbers tell us that our cupcakes are far worse than everyone else, except Georgetown.

Would take the bracket in a heartbeat - Jays vs. St. Mary's then Clemson/ETSU winner and Texas Tech and Ohio St. waiting in the Sweet 16. Please give us good matchups this year committee (Bruce) please!!

Also has 7 Big East teams in this bracket.

Dirk with actually a good take:

"Eighteen Big East games last season. Guess how many cumulative minutes Martin Krampelj played in those games.

51.

Now he’s a double-double machine. Krampelj’s emergence is almost as remarkable as Justin Patton’s last year. And it makes me wonder: What if Jordy Tshimanga had developed in such a way?

A year ago, I’m confident that most local observers would’ve taken Jordy over Martin. Now one is headed for All-Big East honors while the other’s status is uncertain.

Maybe that’s why Creighton is Creighton and Nebraska is Nebraska."

Are you confident or is Dirk confident? There is nothing in the history of either coaches or their recent programs that would assume Jordy would be better than Martin.

Is this from the same article with the headline of Dirky asking Dickie V about Scott Frost?

No thanks.

Do you mean World Herald hacks when you say local observers? Because I know I wouldn’t have taken Jordy Tshimsnga over Krampelj a year ago, and I’m not sure I know of a single Jays fan who would have.

Krampelj has always been a much better player than Jordy. Krampelj has the skills while Jordy has nothing that I see. We all see different but I'm assuming most Creighton fans would not have traded Krampelj for Jordy at any time last year.

I was more talking to the development of big men and how ours seem to get better while theirs usually transfer....
