I realize these were not the caliber teams we are about to run into, but I can't imagine a better start to the season than what Marcus has done. Clearly, the guy got himself in a good spot this off-season. It will be interesting to see how he responds when teams start scheming to slow him down. That could start as early as NW game. Hopefully, he will not get antsy and try to force things if he isn't getting as many scoring opportunities, but still maintain his aggressive approach by working to set up his teammates instead. Fortunately on the basis of two games, it appears we have enough other weapons on the court that we can make teams pay for focusing too much on one guy.

Obviously, it'll depend on how Foster personally takes to the approach, but I have supreme confidence in this coaching staff's ability to develop an offensive scheme to counter an opponent's defensive focus on any one player.

Foster looks a lot more calculated and surveys things more. I love it. He's a bad dude.

If you follow Marcus on any social media, what your seeing in games is almost identical to what he was practicing in his training sessions in the off season. Last year if he caught it beyond the arc, he was putting it up. This year, not only does his shot look more smooth, but the hesitation/pump fake move he's been doing is really nice. He seems more patient, and more confident in his ability to get to the rim at will. He looks to be more engaged defensively as well. His stats to start the year are scary.

23.0 ppg in 24.5 mpg on 17-22 shooting (77.3%), 7-for-10 from 3 (70.0%) and 5-of-7 at the line (71.4%)
