this deserves a little resurrection today after that performance

doug is the best scorer in CU history (duh) - but his came in the context of offense and put backs for the most part

marcus is simply the greatest (or second behind rodzilla - definitely willing to entertain that argument) bucket getter in CU history - or at least my lifetime of Jay fandom (last 30 years)

we are gonna miss his ability to just go get one when he's gone

that first half last night was fantastic

Marcus took a lot of bad shots last year, some out of necessity, and I think it's clouding a lot of what he's doing this year. He's shooting .503 so far, 8th in the BE, and .425 on 3s. That's impressive for a high-volume scorer. Khryi's overshading Marcus in many ways, but the man's been outstanding. Also contributing 3.5 rebounds and and 2.4 assists.

Senioritis is a beautiful thing!

Not sure if it had been posted but, Marcus is midseason third-team All-American for Sporting News:

Overview: On one of college basketball’s most dynamic offenses, Foster is amazingly consistent and accurate. Not many shooting guards who are this aggressive connect on more than half their shots.

Brunson is first team, Bluiett second. Bridges and Delgardo also third.

"Amazingly consistent and accurate." Yeah. I kind of love that this thread is only two pages long. Nothing really needs to be said. Of course, we shouldn't take him for granted and we'll miss him dearly next season.

Early in the year, I thought Khyri was the best player on the team and I think most agreed with that.
After 19 games, Foster has proven me wrong as he has been a totally different player from last year.
I vote Foster the best player on the team and Khyri the best defensive player.
It is rare for a player of his type to shoot over 50% and all parts of his game have improved big time in just one year.
Thank You Marcus for coming to CU.
