Crappy thing is they don't get the Zona schools at home this year....

ESPN surprisingly mentions the words Big and East together. Should be a good weekend for Big East hoops:

Decent games for a Friday night:

Marquette at Butler (FS1) 5:30
Providence at Depaul (FS1) 7:30
Nebraska at Penn St. (BTN) 6:00

Nice little appetizer for tomorrow's X/Creighton main course

kind of a bummer that FS1 isn't doing the all day Big East MLK binge.

made for a fun day last few years. guessing the daytime ratings weren't good enough to continue

Liked the idea, but I can't imagine the ratings were there given that it's shamefully still not a "real" holiday. Creighton doesn't even get it off.

Put together our new kitchen table last night and caught a lot of the North Dakota vs. NDSU game during the project. Marlon Stewart was on fire (20 points, 7/11, 4 3PT) and they won going away. He's a good player, but I still kept thinking I don't know if he'd even get that much playing time with us currently. It's amazing what the move to the Big East has done for talent.

Great to hear, Marlon seemed like a great teammate.

What I heard was that he wasn't talented enough, was pissed he wasn't playing, wasn't trying as hard as he should have been, and refused to listen to coaches or teammates regarding his status on the team and why he was where he was on the pecking order.

That said, of course I'm glad he's doing well; he's just a kid and maybe the transfer was a combination of a builder of drive as well as a recalibration of where he was in the world of D1 basketball.

Aside from talent, sounds like one Marcus Foster to me. These are all young guys, sometimes they need a change of scenery or a wake-up call.
