Seton Hall takes down Lousiville. They are going to be a tough out in conference.

Great win for the league. To me, it's looking like:

Tier 1: Nova
Tier 2: Xavier/Seton Hall
Tier 3: Creighton/PC
Tier 4: SJU/Marquette/Butler
Tier 5: Georgetown/DePaul

There is a chance that Creighton will play 12 nationally ranked teams this regular season with 4 of them already in the books. I don't miss playing in the Valley where we sometimes didn't play any ranked teams. This years team would probably go undefeated in the Valley but of course we would not have most of these players if we were still in the Valley.

Big East sits at 3 or 4 in conference RPI (or similar computer rankings) this morning (at least on the four sites I looked at). We are actually a little down I think from this time the past couple of years, but I think we may have more top 25 wins than in past years. I didn't check, so I could be wrong, but seems like we have some really good wins overall already. In any event, still in a good place to have a legit shot at 6 teams minimum into the NCAA. I know a long ways to go, but BE continues to show it belongs among the upper echelon of the basketball power conferences.

I also note that it appears WSU surprisingly may have actually been the drag on the MVC RPI. After WSU bolts, the MVC is 6th in all four RPI (or similar rankings) I looked at while the American Conference pulls up at #9. 8-)

I saw this last night on Twitter. I love it.

I have actually watched a few Missouri State games this season (don't ask how or why) and they look really good.

Jay Bilas just called Khyri Thomas one of the top 5 defenders in the country during the Nova-Gonzaga game.

Nebraska looked halfway competent tonight beating Minnesota. Refs let both teams be pretty physical. Nebraska will have the size advantage. Expect Creighton to pick them apart on offense tho.

Nebraska winning hopefully will make our team more focused for them (if possible). Plus, it will be more of an RPI boost. Give Timmy an extension!

In other BE games, Butler looks like it's figuring it out with a win over Utah. And St. John's beats Thunder Dan Majerle in Phoenix. The Johnnies might be better than I want to give them credit for.
