Yeah, I heard similar comments. Also plenty of comments about CU being scared to play UNO until this year when they lost all of their starters. At the end of the day though, why not worry about the fact that they have 2x the enrollment of CU but average about 1/10 of their attendance?

I'm an active UNO alum and even I don't get to more than two or three home games per year. It's hard to justify to the wife that I want to go to the SDSU vs. UNO game when I just spent 2.5 hours watching Creighton vs. Gtown earlier that day. For UNO basketball, I think it's a case of awareness. I mentioned to one of my coworkers, who is also a UNO alum, that I went to the game last night and he literally asked me, "they division one?"

For the record, what Twitter UNO fans there are, I find them to be extremely annoying and complete mouth breathers.

My dad is a UNO alum who never really makes it to the games either because he prefers Creighton, but he did bring up to me how grueling a non-con schedule their team has had with competition and being on the road and feels bad for the players. Trev Alberts sending them off so he can pay off salaries. The life of a lowly D1 team. Has anyone on here happened to see what they've had to do the last couple weeks and what they have ahead?

Some notable ones:
at Oklahoma
at New Mexico
at Louisville
at TCU
at Washington
at Kansas

The Kansas game is being played a little over 24 hours after a game they have here in Omaha against Cornell College. Approximately 24 hours to prep for Kansas. Ouch.

Part of the reason this was done was due to the US Olympic Curling Trials at Baxter. So the team had many road games in a row instead of being split up at least. But yeah, that is the life of a new D1 team.
