2018 Big East Tourney (BET)

Postby gtmoBlue » Fri Mar 02, 2018 3:33 pm

ESpn today has Nova winning the BET.

http://www.espn.com/sportsnation/story/ ... tournament

Nova 46%
X 35%
But 9%
Prov 4%
Other 6%

Butler? Providence? Hmmm, wonder who was voting over there.

Looks like we're a "Toruney" darkhorse.

Glad I could help you out, GTMO (although I kinda liked "toruney").

The problem with this poll is only 4 teams were listed and Creighton wasn't one of them.
I'm sure if Creighton was listed, they would have gotten more votes that Providence and maybe even more than Butler.

Leave it to ESPN to screw that up - how do you pick four teams and leave out Creighton and Seton Hall both as options?

More reasons to never watch ESPN. Hopefully my cable operator allows us to opt out of them at some point soon

ESPN is so ridiculously biased. That's why.

Well, we are locked in to the 4/5 game. Which I would honestly rather have. I want another shot at Xavier and want no part of having to see Nova again that early.

Xavier is a MUCH worse matchup for us. It’s all about matchups now.

Yet we still should have beat them at home. We beat Villanova home, should have beat Xavier, but we lost both by large margins on the road.

I guess it's in the eye of the beholder. But I'd much rather make a team beat us three times rather than play arguably the best team in the country again. And we've had very good luck Against Xavier in Madison Square Garden.
