Actually, we're #22 in coaches. That's last week's coaches poll.

Entering the AP top 25 used to be a cause for celebration. Today, we instead debate the status of the third PG.

Life is soooooo good in the Big East. :)

Thanks- my bad. Its updated now.
If we can hold court at home and go 2-1 next three- beat Butler and SH at home or steal one against X on the road, then I think we will
be here to stay. sorry GTMO want all three but that's a tough climb. Great opportunities in the next week.

There are hills in the Big O. IMO view we win all 3, 1 at a time. Last season we swept Butler, split with the other 2. I luv the Cintas and the Jays play well there. #RollJays

http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/22013176/bilas-index-volume-3-best-68-teams-college-basketball

Jay Bilas ranks the top teams, and has Creighton at #19.

19. Creighton Bluejays
This team is a joy to watch on the offensive end of the floor: passing, cutting, screening and doing so with pace and purpose. Creighton puts up better than 90 points per game and does so on 20 assists per game. Marcus Foster and Khyri Thomas form one of the nation's best backcourts, and Martin Krampelj is one of the most improved players in the Big East. Krampelj is not the biggest, but he can really run and move his feet, and he has good mobility. Creighton has yet to lose at home and is solid in every area of the game.

Other notables:
Villanova - #1
Wichita St - #7 (you know you still care)
Xavier - #13
Seton Hall - #16
Gonzaga - #20
Marquette - #33
Baylor - #36
Butler - #39
UCLA - #45
Providence - #47
Central Florida - #52 (I assume this is everyone's second favorite college basketball team)

Viewing this as a moment frozen in time, it's pretty cool that Creighton will have FIFTEEN (15!!) games against Top 50 teams, just using Jay's ranking. Going out on a limb, Big East > Missouri Valley.

Arena staff might want to do a top-to-bottom inspection of the scoreboards and video boards before the Marquette game. Stress test the hell out of 'em because they're gonna be lit up like an all-night liquor store that game.

Several losses this weekend:
15, 17, 19, 24, 25, plus also receiving votes teams FSU, Butler, SH, NC State. Washington lost earlier this week.

It's possible that the Jays and ASU rejoin the rankings... the AP may just leave UK and Miami in despite their losses.
More probable in the Coaches Poll, but still possible in both.

God love you, Gtmo, only you could expect to get back in the rankings after that loss.

Add me to the list that it is possible after 9 rated teams lost yesterday.

More power to you too, if you think a one-point win over DePaul catapults us into the ratings. Not saying it's impossible, but I have to admit it's hard to find optimism on the ratings after yesterday's loss.
