Much will depend on whether SJU's injured guards play. The Johnnies always scare me, as they are as athletic as any team in the country.

Every conference game scares me. But I'm not too worried about this one without one or both of their top guys. However, they did take SHU to the wire so they're still dangerous.

I hope to see three things though; Khyri Thomas get back on track shooting the ball, Mintz continue to build off of his good performance last game, and Toby Hegner continue to knock down outside shots.

St. John's got into town last night and had a light practice; Ponds and Lovett are here with the team, but are questionable for the game. According to the NY Post neither participated in that light shoot around.

Thanks for the update. If they don't play only a terrible CU shooting night will get in the way of a win.

not if the team that showed up in NJ the other night is here

without ponds and Lovett - gave SH all they wanted.

not an easy out - minus mullin X and Oing for them of course....

Line is Creighton -12. Me thinks Vegas is factoring in Ponds not playing.

Ponds is great, but I'm not sure they aren't tougher without Lovett. Clark, Ahmed and Simon get more minutes, which means they're bigger and better defensively. Lovett's a pest on defense, but he's easy to post up.

Here's the Primer:

Best guess, though it's only a guess, is Ponds plays and LoVett does not. I agree they're tougher defensively without LoVett, but they need his versatility on offense desperately -- his midrange jumper is something their other guards simply do not have.

Ponds participated in practice last night, Lovett did not.
