I wish Marcus would post up now and put the fade away in the deep freeze

Marcus just had a bad game. He was shooting 50% on the year coming into this game.

Mintz and Hegner were massive. If we get that sort of contribution from them the rest of the season we could win 12 conference games.

Great team win. Many good performances across the board. Any time we can dominate a conference opponent on the road with Foster’s D game, that’s a great sign.

Great re-cap and great that you noticed the Defense Hegner played yesterday. It was one of the more impressive jobs I've seen by a post defender at Creighton in a long time.

He fronted Govan and when he couldn't front he pushed him out far enough to keep him from any easy spots in the paint. Then when he did get the ball, he used footwork and positioning to hold his own against a big guy who has scored a lot

Was great to see him shooting like that. He's really stepped up his game offensively this year. His passing is crisp and he's added a few non-3PT things to his game as well. Also the consistent minutes and shots seem to be increasing his confidence with the ball.

Right now in conference play:

24.3 minutes / 11.0 Points / 4.0 rebounds / 1.3 assists / 0.3 Steals / 0.5 blocks
2 pt% - .467 / 3PT % - .471 / FT % - .857
per 40 in conference - 18.1 ppg, 6.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.8 blocks

by comparison...
28.4 minutes / 9.5 ppg / 3.9 rebounds / 0.8 assists / 0.0 blocks
2 pt% - .500 (he only had 2 2pt shots) / 3 PT% - .455 / FT - .864

FYI, the second one is Wragge. Hegner will never have the quick release Wragge had, but with the guys around him, all he needs to do is knock down shots like he's doing right now and keep playing the kind of defense he played yesterday.

In particular the defense helps us so much. Not only is he active in helping to hedge and cut off penetration, he's been able to play most of the bigs we are seeing solo in the paint.

Nice job bringing up those numbers to compare. Really does shine a light on how well Toby has responded to his senior year and to the injuries he's had. Kudos to him! And Mac and staff continue to show how innovative they can be... playing him in the role of 5 when defending and at the 4 when attacking... a little like how they used Doug and Ethan after Echenique left. How better can his skill-set be utilized?

I would say that was probably the most athletic play I've seen in a Bluejay uniform. Unreal hops.

Really? I can think of several plays just this year that were more athletic.

Okay, Foster’s dunk on the inbound was truly amazing(I forget who that was against). I guess you are right.
