NCAA Tournament Seed

Postby bluejayfan00 » Mon Feb 05, 2018 11:01 am

Curious to see everyone's thoughts on our seed come March. I think if we can finish 11-7 in the league and win a game in NYC, we'll likely be a 7, possibly a 6. Looking at potential second round match-up's, since we can never get to the S16, possible 2/3 seeds that I would not mind seeing include Oklahoma, Auburn, Clemson.

I would love to see Khyri give Trae Young the business for 40 minutes.

I'd like to see Duke - they don't know anything about defense.

I wonder if Tre will even care by the time March rolls around. He is clearly done after this year, and watching him play some games its really all about him. He chucks up some of the craziest shots. But, still he is shooting almost 50% and almost 40% from three. He had 14 assists against Texas, even when it looked like he was doing some really stupid and selfish stuff. Sure he competes, but it just seems that he cares more about what he looks like, even on his assists, rather than whether his team wins or loses.

Bracket Matrix currently has us projected as a 6 seed, and we are firmly in every single bracket that they follow with an average of between 6 and 7.

Lotta ball left before we talk about seeds. Gotta get in first! Realizing this is just conjecture.

Based on remaining games, would go with a 7 or 8. I hope I am wrong, but don't think Jays go 4-0 with DePaul and MU. X at home is a toss up, Nova at home less than toss up, Butler at Hinkle, less than toss up.... I do like they have gotten some breather days in the last 2 weeks though! Think it will help over the next month.

I would take a 6 seed right now. I voted 7 seed but could be anywhere from a 4 to a 9. A lot of basketball left to play.
Go Jays and Go Epperson, Joseph, Ballock and Alexander, all new guys playing this year.

Marquette has been exposed if you ask me. They don't have the horses to cut it.

I'll ascribe us two sweeps and a 1-2 mark for the other three games. 22-8 with a 22 rpi...5/6, depending on the BET outcome.

Based on the different quality of 11 to 12 seeds and 3 to 4 seeds, we had better hope we get a 5.

Marvin Bagley and Wendell Carter would murder us inside. No thanks.
