I've never heard Doug express anything like that - but he's a hoophead from a basketball family - so it's not hard to picture it.

and i can think of a nice place for him to start a coaching career.

Absolutely love Doug, but I hope not. Too many examples of former star players not working out at their alma mater as coaches. It tears the fanbase apart and is hard to get rid of them if they flame out. Look at Ewing at Georgetown. It’s a different sport, but same situation with Frost at Nebraska. I’d rather avoid the chance of destroying the rep of one of our all time greats and let him retain legendary status forever. If we are going to do anything with Doug, let’s retire his number already.

Not sure if they officially announced it, but Creighton's media guide lists Doug's jersey as retired.

No. Not thinking as HC.

Starting his career working with his dad.

Video Coordinator. Then maybe a grad asst. Learning the ropes.

But that might keep Mac here a little longer before hanging it up.

I agree on the alum vanity coaching hires

what? where did this scuttlebutt come from?

DMD as an asst coach, here? Why the crack about "keeping Mac here a little longer"?
It's not Golf Time in Arizona yet.

However, should Mac decide to hang up his spurs... I've already selected his replacement.

Got the Hawkeyes at home for the Gavitt Games announced today:

Xavier at Purdue
Michigan at St. John’s
Iowa at Creighton
Marquette at Illinois
Maryland at Villanova
Butler at Michigan State
Georgetown at Rutgers
Wisconsin at Providence
At Creighton Bob Gibson majored in sociology and starred in Basketball and Baseball. In 1957 Gibson received a $3,000 sign-on bonus with St. Louis Cardinals, but delayed his HOF Cards career a year to play pro B-ball with the Harlem Globetrotters.

Any of the last 3 years it would’ve been a good matchup, but now it’s just a no-win situation for the Jays as Iowa will most likely be in that 75-100 range this year without either Murray twin or Garza. They’ll probably still finish 7-10 in the BIG, but would have rather played a top 25 team

Here is a good look at all college rosters currently:

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-baske ... atform=amp

We have more talent in the “In limbo” category by far than anybody in the BE.

Looking at these rosters, it’s going to be another great year for the BE. Villanova and SJU look significantly better than last year.

Cooley should have GTown improved but at the same time I would expect PC to take a step back. Big East is going to be a gauntlet next season.

Agree. Although, really only one direction possible for GT.

3 potential first team all BE players on this team:
1. Kalk - first team last year
2. Trey - honorable mention last year
3. Baylor - honorable mention last year
