Sooooo annoying. Such a bad look for any fanbase.

Anyways…I expect Creighton should be ranked anywhere in the 16 to 21 range. That feels about what this team is as of now, but trending upward. Winning four in a row matters at any point in conference play. Ashworth’s improvement doesn’t seem fluky. Kalk/Trey/Baylor are still among the best trio of starters in America.

If the Jays can go 2-1 over the next three games, acceptable and satisfactory. 3-0, look out!

Man, you guys aren't kidding. Quite a few whiny articles hitting my feed.

New Yorkers must be a bunch of soft complainers.

You would have thought Pitino shutting down that stuff during his PC would have been the end of it.

Obviously not.

Roy Williams had no problem with Ethan Wragge’s hard foul against the Carolina point guard in the NCAA tourney that resulted in a broken wrist. In fact, he said he wished his team could be a little tougher like Wragge.

Despite that, Carolina fans will always despise us since that injury supposedly cost them the national championship that year.

Wow, is the NY Post writer a St. John's fanboy?! He's just not letting it die on Twitter. He really wanted a foul on Creighton's offensive rebound when guys were diving for the ball. What a joke.

The Post really likes to stir the pot generally, and that guy appears to be their lead pot-stirrer for BE basketball, When Pitino in his post-game said he thinks ref baiting during games is a form of cheating, this guy immediately drew a direct line to Hurley, and nobody else, even though Pitino didn't name any names. An interesting line in that story is that Pitino wants next year's homie with UConn to be in the Carnesecca phone booth. Perfect.

Exactly, they just want to get people riled up and get some clicks on their site

As for the calls in the game. I still think Pitino didn't complain because:

A. It's stupid to call out the refs and the league (and he needs to be given the option of dialing up a super physical game again in the future, and
B. He made a decision on how he wanted to play (based on how many open shots we got in the first half) and bet that the refs wouldn't call everything, and they didn't

and C: He was absolutely correct on what he was saying as well. Teams need to play through things and be good enough to win. We almost lost that game by blowing wide open 3' and then by missing FT's

Even with the foul disparity, there were more non-calls on fouls made by St. Johns than non-calls on fouls made by Creighton

20 fouls is pretty much their average in a competitive P5 game this year. They have gone as high as 30 vs. West Virginia

Apparently Pitino doesn't like losing...

I can respect that.

A classic tabloid. Probably a lot of UConn’s fan base reads that rag, so I imagine they like to poke the bear whenever they can.
Love their headlines though. Whatever they pay their headline writers, it’s not enough. “Headless man found in topless bar”. Great stuff. (For the very literal among us, no, that wasn’t the headline after Saturday’s game. I don’t think).
