We have a real good shot to get to 10 Q1 wins at the BET which would be a defining number. Think we lock up the 3 with another win.

Agree, don’t push the starters

Are some fans really thinking McDermott is going to all of a sudden start playing our starters less…..in the Big East Tournament?

Rollercoaster game, but a win is a win. Some bad officiating down the stretch, coupled with Nova swishing contested threes, turned this into a nail biter. It's such a tough call deciding whether to keep attacking or to bleed clock. Hindsight is 20/20, but the Jays took a few shots too early in the possession down the stretch. The Jays were up 14 with 6:14 to play. If you bleed clock and get up a shot each possession, it would be awfully difficult for Nova to tie the game.

On the other hand, Nova had its season on the line. It was Senior Day. This wasn't going to be easy. Credit to the Jays for finding a way.

I think that even if they lose their first game in NYC, the Jays can do no worse than a 3 seed, especially with Kansas getting destroyed today. Eight Quad 1 wins. Good metrics.

Hey, sorry for the stupid question, but I was at the game and couldn't tell whether that last shot by Dixon would've counted. Did the broadcast make it clear one way or the other?

I don't recall them saying anything. To me, it looked like he caught it and shot rather than trying to tip it. As such, I don't think it would/should have counted.

Long determined that physically it is impossible to get a shot off with 0.2 or less with anything other than a tip in at the rim. Refs have it easy on that and will waive off any shot that is a full catch in the hands by the offensive player.

Thanks fellas. In real time it looked like a pretty impressive/close effort.

As for the game itself, I'm at a loss to explain why we didn't feed and re-feed and re-re-feed the Kalk once our threes stopped fallling. But any win at Nova is a GREAT accomplishment.

We don't really do that very much. Kalk is out at top of key or on wing 25 feet from hoop more often than not.

Would love some slip screen action.

Seems like we used to do that quite a bit. But we haven't seen it much lately, have we...
