By the way, has the board's ability to embed tweets changed?

Just change the "x.com" piece to "twitter.com", and then remove the extra little bit at the end like before (so it's just the string of numbers).

You can thank Elon for that. Because of his silly name change from "Twitter" to "X" the embed URLs don't work anymore. (They don't work anywhere without updating the code; it drives me nuts on WordPress too.)

BTW, HOF sports writer Dick Weiss is reporting the same thing about Moser to DePaul now, too.

One thing to note - despite the rebrand, twitter.com still works. So I never visit x.com. I stick to twitter.com - that likely would make it easier for embedding tweets. And then you aren't participating in Elon's stupid rebrand (that's just a petty bonus).

Lot of other national and Big East media types confirming the smoke around Holtmann to DePaul; Matt Norlander of CBS says he can confirm there's been advanced talks, and Adam Zagoria says the deal is close to done.

Less surprising for a recently unemployed coach to take that gig versus someone like Bobby Hurley leaving an existing job for it, I suppose. Still seems like a dead end job, though.

A bit surprising as I think Holtmann still has a pretty good reputation as a coach and could likely land quite a few jobs.

May indicate that DePaul is willing to spend money and commit to being better

Also, Wiki page still lists Ohio State, but the search page in brave search says "current head coach at DePaul"
hmm

"Christopher Adam Holtmann (born November 11, 1971) is an American college basketball coach who is the current head coach at DePaul University. Holtmann grew up in Nicholasville, Kentucky, and started his college playing career in-state at Brescia College in Owensboro. Wikipedia"

Probably good for the conference to not have DePaul be an annual bottom feeder, but still, don't want them to add another really tough game to the schedule either ;)

Also looks like @osuhoopsinsider is reporting he will be the next HC at DePaul

I am shocked we don't see D'Rock's name mentioned more prominently for openings. You see Indiana State's coach listed more often, and he's only been at ISU for three years (two winning seasons). Before that, he was at a D-2 school.

Holtmann to DePaul is official according to Rothstein.

Another former Buckeye HC in the BEast. They could've done a lot worse.
