No surprise. A transfer to a Valley level school probably works best. Wish him well!

This is my favorite guard in the portal Creighton has been in contact with. Built like a Big East guard. 40% for 3PT. Almost 2 assists per turnovers per game.

Dotzler has entered the portal. I didn't expect this.

In another thread it was stated he doesn’t view himself a good fit for the offense and wants to play

The reaction on social media is a little weird to me, everyone seems really shocked.

Personally, I'm not. He didn't get any run in a year where we didn't have any other point guard on the roster, and we wasted a year of his eligibility by not redshirting him. We've reached out to a handful of combo guards in the portal, too. I think Mac wants a roster that can compete right away every year now, and he should.

I think his refusal to redshirt was a massive mistake — we started the season with everyone on the planet knowing Ashworth and Trey would be the main PG and with Bello locked in as the first guard off the bench. There were never going to be major minutes and everyone knew it.

I am disappoint d because I think he had a ton of potential if he stuck.

I'm surprised given that he is a legacy. I'm disappointed because I thought he had a lot of potential.

is it possible trey is staying and josiah sees more of the same for himself next year? just seems so unexpected given ashworth is probably better at sg and josiah showed a ton of promise as a pg1.

He wanted to redshirt and was talked into playing.
