Hillary ran a terrible campaign, but even with that, I believe she would/should have won without Comey's ridiculous actions. Let me rephrase that since I didn't care for Hillary much. Without Comey, the country would have been spared a con man conning tens of millions of gullible Americans.

As you look back in recent history, a legitimate argument can be made that the Supreme Court and FBI put the last two Republicans in the White House. Tragic.

Your opinion is simply not true. Look at the poll that came out today, 96 percent who voted for Trump would do so again today, even with all news that came out since election. Only 85 percent who voted for Clinton would do so again today. Trump would actually win by a GREATER margin over her if there was a "redo" election. Face it, Clinton was such a bad candidate put up by the Dems, the election was just not winnable. Sanders would have done even worse. People in the middle who were fooled by voting for Obama, simply said we had enough, give us a real candidate. With no good choice, the vote of the people in the middle is always for change, based on history. Thus, it did not matter it was a candidate like Trump. Someone like Rubio would have CRUSHED Clinton. Today's poll was not Fox News, but other news who are not Trump friendly.

The reality is most politicians are con men. Obama was just a different type of con man than Trump.

Not sure how you can say it was unwinnable when she lost by around 1% in the three swing states that gave Trump the Presidency. When Comey's letter was released, resulted in 3% swing right there.

For those of us in the middle, Obama was the same old liberal spending, spineless in foreign political action Democrat wolf packaged in the sheep's clothing of "hope and change" that made independents think he was a different breed of Democrat. He clearly made the two sides more separated than his promise of bringing them together. Just like a used car salesman tactic of assuring you the lemon he just sold you would be a reliable family car. Trump is just more transparent about being a con man, Obama was much more devious in hiding his true agenda.

What was Obama's "true agenda?" Are you one of those people who thinks he wanted to ruin America and make us all Muslims? Where on the sliding scale are you? Just curious.

Ok. Obviously there is a disconnect between soaring political rhetoric that Obama can speak about and the dirty political reality of making the legislative sausage. I thought his hopeful style was inspirational and a stylistic choice, kind of like Reagan's "morning in America" style. YMMV.

Re: spineless in foreign political action - Can you name a US military intervention made since the first Iraq War that you would consider an unqualified success? Our military is pretty good at killing people, less good at putting the pieces back together and assembling a functioning nation-state.

You guys are dealing with Trumpers here -- there is no reasoning, no logic, no reality whatsoever. Anyone who starts out by saying "those of us in the middle" and then proceeds to regurgitate the mindless far right talking points is trying very unsuccessfully to make people think that he or she is something that he or she is clearly not.

It's absolutely stunning the level these Trumpers will go to just to keep turning a blind eye to the con they bought. Saying that Trump is more transparent in his con is just laughable -- he's not being transparent in conning anyone, he's just outright lying and bumbling around because he still has no clue at all what he's supposed to be doing. But Trumpers will keep eating it up because "OBAMA" and "CLINTON" and her-dee-der-dee-der.

Was there an option for those of us who don't want to keep fighting endless wars in the Middle East?
