Energy density. Important chart.

http://ourworldindata.org/scale-for-electricity

The labeled horizontal lines on these charts aim to give a sense of perspective on electricity consumption levels across the world. For example, in the chart below a very large hydro or nuclear plant could produce enough electricity to meet the demands of 100 million people in Ghana; a large hydro, nuclear, or coal plant could provide for 10 million average global citizens, and average-sized plant would meet demands of ten million in Brazil.

The left-hand chart is dominated by hydropower, nuclear, coal and geothermal production. The output of onshore and offshore wind, and solar photovoltaic (PV) farms currently lie below 10,000 MWh per day, which you see at the bottom of the left-hand chart. The right-hand chart provides a magnification of the bottom section of this chart, extending only from zero to 10,000 MWh. Just as in the left-hand chart, the range of daily electricity outputs from wind and solar PV farms are shown by the arrows, with specific farms represented by stars. Again, we have provided a sense of perspective on how this relates to electricity consumption needs across a range of countries using the labeled horizontal lines.

Bless your heart CUF4.

The whole point of solar and wind power is that it is distributed. You can put solar panels on every roof in the southern states of the US and get cheap power. You can't put nuclear, hydroelectric, geothermal, coal, or oil heating systems in urban environments in a distributed way, so you have to build big power plants. You don't need density when each household can generate it's own power and be self sufficient.

Also, isn't Fukushima currently a smoldering nuclear waste site? I can't believe they left that on there.

Bless your heart CUF4.

Good old Rupert has no peer-reviewed climate change articles to his name. His training is in economics and history. And he's publishing this from the "Competitive Enterprise Institute", a libertarian think tank. "Fake News".

Meanwhile, 2017 is set to be one the three hottest years on record.

Scientists changing sea level numbers. Scam.

The author, Dr. Parker, is an automotive engineer who has had to retract several papers before. Alberto Boretti just makes stuff up. He, like everyone else you bring up, is a mouthpiece, and a shill for rhode who profit on the everyday destruction of our environment. Why don't you go do something useful with your time rather than support legacy fossil fuels and fruitcake conspiracy theories.

Durango:

And Albert Einstein worked as a patent examiner.

Why don’t you drop your religious belief of nonexistent global warming? Why don’t you stop shilling for the investment bankers who make big money off of the CAGW scam?

Bless your heart CUF4.

Here's the IPCC chapter on sea level rise.

Now you can weigh the available evidence and come to your own conclusions.

Bird Call

1. Guy who really follows this stuff tells me this, “the guy who ran IPCC until he was fired a year or two ago in a sex harassment scandal is a railroad engineer.”

2. Hope you saw the game on Saturday. Always great to beat the Corn.
