I would imagine that anyone getting laid off from ESPN will probably be fine. Sorry for being insensitive.

Local sports talk radio is the most profitable form of radio, and the people who do it in major markets are way, way, better at 'yelling about sports and social topics' than your average ESPNer these days.

ESPN should be cutting costs by simply stopping trying to be relevant on TV 24/7. The major networks air paid programming during the day for goodness sake - easiest way to cut costs is to stop thinking you need original content that's only available from 2-3 PM when 99% of sports fans are doing something else.
