I think we were really close to signing Tugs, we offered 75K in $20 bills, 3 hookers and a cadillac escalade however he told us that was table stakes and we needed to up our offer. Pitino clearly offered more....maybe we should hire Suge Knight to help in recruiting.

Suge Knight would be great! We could have him chauffeur recruits around in some big ass SUV.

According to Yahoo sport guy, the FBI now has over 4000 intercepted phone calls. Unnamed sources suggested many programs will have to vacate their tournament wins this year. Other details.....

I of course hope and expect Creighton is not involved. That said, if we are, I hope the truth comes out and everyone involved goes to jail, or gets fired, as appropriate. This whole sport, starting in middle school, has a diseased and exploitative culture.

None of this would be happening if the FBI had not gotten involved in the NCAA's mis-management of College Basketball.
Reading over some of the proposals, seems a rational approach...

The Commission on College Basketball recommended an end to the one-and-done rule, potential lifetime bans for rule-breakers and changes to the relationship between the NCAA and apparel companies.

"We need to put the college back in college basketball," commission chairman and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Wednesday at a news conference in Indianapolis after the independent panel released a detailed 60-page report.

"Our focus has been to strengthen the collegiate model -- not to move toward one that brings aspects of professionalism into the game," Rice added.
