Smooth by Santana feat. Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20

Postby Easypaddy » Sun Mar 11, 2018 10:00 am

I love this song. I think it captures the heat of the summer and this woman perfectly. I love the chorus:

"and it's just like the ocean under the moon / well that's the same as the emotion that I get from you / you've got the kind of lovin' that could be so smooth / give me your heart, make it real / or else forget about it"

gosh, I love that. carlos santana is incredible ... and teaming up with rob thomas was just ... awesome.

It won a Grammy, but so did Milli-Vanilli, if that means anything. Not that Milli-vanilli can hold a candle to Carlos Santana.....

They could but it would be a battery operated candle which would go out in the middle of the performance.

I remember that it wasn't even my favorite song on the CD, but I don't remember which one I liked more. It's been at least 15 years since I've listened to it.
