Wow, I thought he was a Nebraska fan since he was a kid, I guess Timmy will do that to ya.....he has the toughness and rebounding prowess we can use but he has limited skills from what I see.

Well there SHOULD be a place on a team like CU for a tough rebounder/defender regardless of 3 point shooting ability but...

I agree, but since Mac's been here, our "4" usually is a skilled guy who can shoot.

He can't shoot beyond a layup and that's straight truth.

Great motor, reminds me some of George Morrow from a couple decades back (did you know George got drafted by the Celtics .... in about the 8th round in the day). Grab boards and blow layups, nooooooo!!!

We currently have 1 spot open, for Tugs. In the unlikely event he doesn't come to Creighton-don't waste It on a transfer guard (2 for 1 or 3 for 2). We are loaded at SG already-Use it for another big.

We have 4 great SGs on the 17-18 roster, 3 of which will still be on the Hilltop in 2018 (Khyri, Ty-Shon, & Mitch). Both Mitch & Ty-Shon are ready to play SGs-let them play at both wing spots while Marcus is still here, so they can develop a comfort level in 2017-18.

Creighton will p/u a PG & SF in 2018 (PG Ayo or Torrence Watson, TX SF Liddell or other SF).

Even if Morrow could shoot outside the paint I think we should avoid him. Foot issues. No thanks.

He also can't guard outside the lane. In the BE, where 4s often play well outside the lane, that is a problem.

I just don't see him fitting in CU's offense. A four with zero 3 pt attempts at Creighton? Blasphemy I tell you. And, 51% from the floor is not what we have become accustomed to from our inside players. You have to go back more than 10 years to find a primarily post player at Creighton who shot that low a percentage (granted 51% is not bad, but our inside players for 10 years have shot upper 50%s and into the 60s% range from the field).

He's not a tough defender. He is a very good rebounder, but that is about all that he does. He's undersized to play exclusively down low and he has no shot (Note - I didn't say he has no 3 point shot, I said he has no shot). Not surprisingly, those are the exact reasons Creighton stopped recruiting him as a high schooler in the first place.

I had history class with George Morrow! I didn't know he was drafted..........he was great in the paint!

That is a cool site LJ....Here are all the CU players drafted with full stats:

Interesting, Benoit Benjamin averaged 11 pts a game, shooting just about 50% from the field in a career span from 1986 to 2000. Not too bad!

Korver is averaging 10 a game right now, maybe he can top that.
