Down to Creighton, Oklahoma, UConn and Seton Hall. Seems very interested in Creighton.

I like our chances. If Twitter activity is any indication, Jarreau seems to love Creighton and their fans

Dejon and Brison seem to be a package deal. Is using up 2 out of 3 current scholarships advisable if they will need to sit out a year?

I'm still on the fence whether getting both of them is worth it. Jarreau is a special talent but didn't shoot well at all. Gresham is a PF we need in 2018 but played limited minutes and can't shoot either. If it was Jarreau by himself, sure, but Jarreau for 2 scholarships? Not so sure....I think it hinges on Bowen. If he comes, then we probably pass on the duo cause we still really need a big for 2017.

Why do people keep saying he doesn't shoot it well? ESPN says he shot at 44%

27% from 3. Something u can definitively improve with a year off but by LetItFly standards, thats really low.

Mo went from 29.7% Jr year (and was about 33% at BU) to 49.6% prior to injury last season

part of that is attributable to who else was taking and making shots to give him clean looks

the other is to the time he obviously put in to improve.

don't see why Jarreau can't do the same

Agreed. Mo couldn't shoot 3's his Junior year. Jarreau was a freshmen, and if you watch his highlights, he has a good, confident stroke. If he put's the time in, I don't see why he can't be a 35% 3 point shooter. But, if he's not, who cares? We are loaded with guys who can shoot the ball. Some of the posters onthis board are just like Coach Mac. Why does EVERY player on our roster and we go after have to be a good shooter? Jesus. Why not have guys whose best skill is to defend, or rebound, or slash to the rim? If you have a couple of good shooters, that's enough to carry a team. Davion has shown he can shoot, Mitch and TyShon have reputations of being lethal outside shooters, Khyri has become a good shooter. Teams that go far in the tournament, which isn't us if you haven't noticed, aren't loaded with shooters. They may have a couple good shooters/scorers, but they also have guys who are awesome in their role, whether that's getting to the rim, rebounding, defending, etc. Jarreau is a 6'5 athlete, special talent, who can get to the rim at will, defend, and make plays. Greshams upside was never to be a scorer or shooter, he's an athletic and active big who can block shots, rebound and score inside. We don't need 12 shooters.
