The President of the United States of America is tweeting about nuclear war with North Korea. He's also tweeting about war with Venezuela. He insulted Congress for imposing sanctions on Russia and then THANKED RUSSIA for imposing sanctions on America. Meanwhile, Nazis are marching on one of our top public universities, and more concerning than that, millions across America support the march via social media.

And I encourage you to read the transcript of Trump's call with the governor of Guam. Recap: this nuclear annhilation threat is really going to help your tourism. As someone noted on Twitter, Trump sounds like Billy Madison trying to explain the industrial revolution. Our President is a moron. Plain and simple.

Yet some of you still think "Yeah, but I'm still glad Hillary isn't in there." With all due respect (approaching "none"), GTFO of here with that lunacy.

Better yet, 52% of Republican voters think it would be great to postpone the 2020 election if Trump and the Republican Congress say they are afraid that there might be voter fraud. Who needs Democracy when you can have a Trumptatorship! Where have all the Lemmings gone, long time passing?

Let's put the Hillary/Trump comparison in basketball terms.

Coach Mac can select a one-star prospect with a low ceiling and not much to get excited about. He has offers from some D2 schools, was involved in some shady activity in high school (but was never charged with anything despite thorough investigation) and probably won't do anything to move the needle for Creighton University.

Or, Coach Mac's only other option, is a snotty rich kid who has never played basketball, will absolutely destroy the locker room, has scary ties/allegiances to Villanova, Marquette, Providence and Nebraska, would embarrass Creighton every time he tried any form of communication, insists that his family gets full ride scholarships, and will only show up for occasional practices because he enjoys golf. While golfing, he says, he's studying the playbook - so don't question it.

That one-star recruit is looking pretty damn good.

Can anyone explain the appeal of this neo-confederate, nazi hitler-youth, alt-right movement descending on towns like Berkeley and Charlottesville?

The confederates lost. The nazis lost. Their philosophies are repugnant. WTF is the appeal?

This is literally fascism in action. Can some of my creighton alumni brethren who are conservatives assure me that this stuff is intolerable? I mean, I'll defend their right to say stupid stuff first amendment style, but can we at least agree that their speech is worth condemning and shaming?

Speaking only for myself, I am a conservative and I find the neo-confederate/nazis youth movement stuff intolerable. It does not represent my views or the views of any Conservatives I know personally.

"Neo-confederate, nazi hitler-youth, alt-right movement"

Intolerable and repugnant.

Memories of the marches in Skokie.

There has to be a push back. But, is the Left going to provide a solution?

The left's solution was to not elect a candidate who ran on a platform and messaging that incited, validated and excused the behavior of these scum. As David Duke said yesterday, what you saw were people trying to "fulfill the promises of Donald Trump." Charlottesville was not surprising to me. It was an inevitability because when you voted for Trump, if you didn't see this as an eventual consequence, you are, at best, naive.

You want a current solution? Impeach Trump. Get rid of the cancer that validated and empowers these shitbags that all Trump supporters aligned themselves with when they accepted his poisonous, racist, xenophobic, hate-filled rhetoric.

I'm not sure the Left alone can provide a solution. The Left was there in Charlottesville protesting these alt-right Hitler-youth cosplayers. But then the President states that the violence yesterday was incited "by all sides".

The hitler-youth cosplay team gets to lawfully assemble and do their thing, but the Republican party has to disown anyone who doesn't condemn this garbage. This cannot and should not be an acceptable component of any mainstream American party, much less the one in complete control of all federal branches of government.

The race-baiting white supremacy element has to be exorcised from the Republican Party; the Left can't do that. It can't be allowed to grow into something that has any political power in this country.
