I'm sure Martin would have done something similar for any kid that wasn't in the top 150 recruits. A true humanitarian. We have a new Jerry Tarkanian.

S. Carolina is giving Tugs a "longshot" chance. The NCAA may not reinstate him. But a longshot chance is better than nothing. If reinstated he still may not play til next season. Good luck to Tugs.

oh my golly, good ol Johnny Coy. There was a lot of angst over the recruiting of a kid who never ended up playing meaningful minutes (basketball, that is - he turned out to be a pretty good baseball player at WSU, as I recall). Out of curiosity googled him. He is now head baseball coach and asst. basketball coach at his alma mater, Benton High School in St. Joseph, MO. Good for him.
