What to expect as bigger schools have been creating their own events lately for a reason. They are for revenue purposes (up to four home games) and relatively easy wins. So think "buy" game type opponents for the most part maybe save one decent matchup. Maybe like a Wyoming or other MWC opponent. UNI Maybe.
They create a "tourney" because it allows them up to four home-games but it only counts as one against the limit. They are really used to replace the true early-season events like Maui, Atlantis etc. Most times the other teams in the "tourney" also play against each other on different dates on one of the other home-campuses.
These are just single-games set up over-the-course of two-weeks or so but called a "X" tourney in order to get four-games that count as a single against the limit.
As an example this year:
Kentucky had their Adolph Rupp Classic with ETSU, Troy, UIC and Fort Wayne.
Indiana had their Hoosier Tip-Off Classic with Howard, Arkansas State, Eastern Michigan and South Florida.
These will become all the craze as more conferences go to 20 conference games.
