some highlights from a couple of years ago -

Think he's even stronger now (put on a lot of good weight since starting college). If I understand correctly, he could have 2 years of eligibility left due to Covid (?)

like how he can finish in traffic/through contact and he's got a solid mid range game as well. Really shot the 3 well last year. Usage went WAY up for his team and he even improved his efficiency overall, and has improved his 2 PT FG% every year in college

Best player on the team according to a few metrics. Also:

no dunks (strange!)
Close 2's 30/62 (.446)
Far 2's 66/148 (.446)
-- very few shots at the rim or other 2 PT shots were assisted (i.e., he's getting shots himself), high % of 3 PT assisted though
FT% (.813)
3 PT (.364 against D1 opponents, slightly lower than overall %)

Neboresketball recruiting strategy = offer every kid in the portal, someone will say yes.

His dad played here, seems like a solid possible contributor, but we haven’t reached out? Interesting.

Until we know more about who stays / leaves I would guess that Greg will be very, very picky about who we actually chase.

Our conference is ridiculously tough with two teams that, as currently configured, are likely Top 10 teams (Marquette and UConn). Villanova will be back. I expect Cooley to right the ship at Georgetown. Seton Hall will be tough. Pitino will likely do a good job eventually at St John's. For us to keep pace, we need to be very specific about filling needs. The thing that stood out to me when watching the tournament is that we need more shooting and athleticism especially off the bench.

Think about last year...we went in thinking we needed two things:

Backup center - got Fred
Hawkins replacement - got Scheierman

I love the stability and ability to re-load we're enjoying. Just apprehensive that some guys will look for perceived greener pastures.

Go Jays

When he was in high school, I recall reading some articles that was hoping CU would offer. I would think we'd be the front runner unless R2 stays. Then, it is hard to imagine him transferring here to be a backup.

He's not a point guard at all. He's a 2.

Played PG for Fullerton when I watched their games. Listed as a PG too.
